Whinnie-Muir is a traditional usually unaccompanied singing group, comprised of John Wenstrom and Robin Murie with their daughters Rebecca and Jess. Specializing in close harmony singing, Whinnie-Muir interprets traditional songs from a variety of English-language traditions, choosing songs that delve deeply into the human experience. These are heart-felt stories with raw emotions that chatter the teeth of the soul. In the words of Charles Ives, "You can't get to heaven with all those pretty little sounds."
